Welcome
Grace Community Church of Topsail is a spiritual family made up of followers of Jesus Christ living in Gospel community with one another, and we exist to love God completely and our neighbor sacrificially as we disciple intentionally in and around Hampstead, North Carolina. Everyone is welcome to join us for worship on Sundays!
Our worship gatherings may look a little bit different as we are temporarily meeting at South Topsail Elementary School on Sundays and Wednesdays, until the construction of our church building is completed on Hoover Road.

When we Meet
Sunday Mornings
- Intecessory Prayer 9-10 - All are welcome to meet in the elementary school cafeteria for prayer starting at 9:00am! This time is dedicated to praying for the Holy Spirit to move mightily during the morning worship gathering, for specific needs within the body of Christ, and for members of the body of Christ by name.
- Corporate Worship 10-11:30 - We invite you to join us for fellowship, worship, and a time of teaching from God’s Word. We fellowship from 9:45-10:00 am with coffee and snacks, and then we gather for worship and teaching in the school gymnasium at 10:00 am. We have a nursery available for nursing mothers with infants, and childcare is available for our toddler and pre-school age children (meets in the school Media Center/Library).
Wednesday Evenings
- 6:30 - 8pm - We gather for a time of teaching and discipleship for all ages. Our discipleship ministry, Grace City, includes classes for toddlers to high school students. There are also men's and women's bible studies that focus on worship, studying God's Word, and encouraging one another in Christ.
What To Expect
Our gatherings on Sunday morning are fairly simple. We use the back entrance to South Topsail Elementary School (nearest the gymnasium) to come in and enjoy coffee, snacks, and fellowship. When we first arrive we hang out to greet friends old and new.
We have lots of children! We provide nursery for children up to four years old. Children five years old and above are encouraged to join their families during the corporate worship service. Our worship gathering is multi-generational, meaning that all of God's people worship him together, regardless of age. We gather together as a family of families to celebrate who God is and what He has done for us, as well as to be equipped and encouraged to live out our identity as disciples of Jesus in our communities throughout the week.
Dress is casual. We invite people to wear whatever they are comfortable worshiping in. We invite everyone to come with a heart ready to meet the living God who has made all things, remembering that it is only by His grace in Jesus Christ that we are able to draw near to Him.
Each worship gathering starts with the reading of God’s Word and several times during our time of worship we pause and pray. We believe that worship is about making much of God. Therefore we want our time to be shaped by the Scriptures and centered on God, who graciously invites us into his presence through faith in his Son, Jesus Christ.

The songs we sing are theologically rich and devotional, blending songs that believers have used to celebrate Jesus for generations with songs written in this generation. While singing primarily praises God, it also encourages and instructs our hearts and the hearts of our children. Those in our church family who are gifted musically lead us in the worship gathering.
We celebrate who God is and what He has done for us and we learn from the teaching of God’s Story, The Bible. We believe the Bible is the very Word of God. We want every sermon to be faithful to the Bible, centered on the gospel of Jesus, and helpful for day-to-day life. We typically preach through books of the Bible verse by verse.
After the service we all stick around and fellowship. We would love for you to stick around as well so that we can meet you and you can get to know us better.
