Hello fellow Wedding Feast attendees: “Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb!” You are invited, will you RSVP? RSVP meaning, "Please respond" to require confirmation of an invitation. The only RSVP that is accepted is faith and obedience in Christ. If you are reading this, then you are invited to the wedding feast of Jesus Christ and His Church. All attendees will be welcomed upon wearing proper attire. The only accepted clothing are your righteous deeds that Christ has worked in you through your obedience to Him (Rev. 19:8). "For it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure" (Phil. 2:13).
There will come a time when all of those who have been written in the Lamb’s Book of Life will be born and redeemed. There will be a time when all of God’s children who make up His church, His Bride, are called, they will repent and believe, they will be washed by the blood of Christ, sanctified and then perfected. When that happens the Church is complete and perfect, no one member will be missing from His Bride who has neither spot nor wrinkle. And when that happens we will be called to the wedding feast with Jesus Christ to celebrate what we have long awaited, the holy union with our Savior.
When we sit down on that glorious day and feast with the Bridegroom, Jesus Christ, the Lamb, we will see Him face to face and we will have an absolute perfect understanding of who He is and what He has done for us. All of life will be understood. He will show us how He worked everything in our lives for our own good and how He perfectly sanctified us through hardships, weaknesses, trials, tribulations, danger and sword. There will be no more sorrow, sickness, or death. There will only be celebratory feasting face to face. This feast will be the fulfillment of long expectation like the many other wedding feasts that we have attended on our lives.
Christ is always willing to receive the guilty sinner to His wedding feast. Do you love the bridegroom, Jesus Christ? Only those who are in love with Jesus will be invited to be wedded with Him. If you have a love and desire for Jesus, then He has loved you first and is calling you to the wedding feast.
When will we enjoy this wedding feast with Jesus Christ? It could be a few days, or weeks, months, years or centuries. Whenever it may be, those of us who have been invited have complete certainty that no matter when the time comes we will sit face to face with the glory of Jesus Christ. RSVP with righteous deeds, the fruit of Jesus Christ working in you for His good pleasure.
Revelation 19:9 And the angel said to me, “Write this: Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb.” And he said to me, “These are the true words of God.”
I will see you Sunday, worshipping the Lamb of God, Steve
